Functions and Types of Lenses In Photography
 
In the world of photography, there are a variety of lenses of different functions.

Ø  Fixed Lens (Prime Lens)
It is a lens that must be owned by the photographers. This lens has a focal range. Usually used to take portrait pictures or models. The type that is often used is: 50 mm, 85 mm, and 135 mm.

Ø  Lenses Standard
Also called kit lens, the lens which is inherited from the camera. This lens focal range between 16-85 mm.

Ø  Tele Lens
This telephoto lens is used for taking pictures that much, in order to look more closely. Photographers use this lens to photograph sporting moments, wildlife or coverage that requires the photographer to be at a far distance from the object.

For those of you who are just learning photography, it is recommended to use a telephoto lens equipped facility that has image stabilization. Image stabilization function is to dampen vibration, because the lens is quite heavy when used by people who are not accustomed to using it.

Ø  Macro Lens
This lens is used to take photos of an object detail (close-up photography) as drawings of small animals and floral detail. For example picture ants, spiders, flower buds and others.
 
The lens type is divided into two general categories: macro zoom lens and a fixed lens macro. The images generated by the fixed macro lens sharper than the image produced by macro zoom lens.
